Seasonal Harvest Labourer

- 3 part time positions available

Job Description:

As a Harvest Laborer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Plant, thin, weed and harvest crops

  • Pick row and orchard crops

  • Sort, weigh and pack fruit and vegetables at the farm

  • Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce and products for transport

  • Clean up racks, trays, and harvest bins and general clean up of growing, producing and packing areas

  • Assist with general farm maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools

  • May assist in preparing garden beds for planting

You will be working with other seasonal harvest laborers and long term farm workers under the supervision of the Garden Manager or the owner directly.

Your working hours will vary through the season but will usually be 6am to 12pm shifts, 3-6 days a week including weekends. Due to the hours needed from May-October these positions are typically not suited for people in fulltime school outside of the summer months.

On-the-job training will be provided and includes but is not limited to health and safety, working in extreme temperatures, proper lifting techniques, and specific picking methods.

As a seasonal position this will be from May - October 31, 2026 with the expectation that the selected applicants will be available for the entire term. These start and end dates are subject to weather variations.

Please note there is no onsite housing available for these positions.

The wage for the position is $18.25 per hour.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Efficient, hard worker

  • Does well in team settings and working independently

  • Previous agriculture experience is an asset but not necessary.

  • Demonstrates the ability to work quickly and maintain quality produce

  • Required to safely lift items as heavy as 50 lbs frequently

  • Complete repetitive work task.

  • Ladders, tractors and farm trucks are also a daily feature of our work so there may be times that you are required to work with these with proper training and approval.

  • We also work rain or shine often so being able to remain outdoors and work comfortably in all weather is important.

  • Able to work the entire season (May - October 31) and available during the hours required

  • Full Driver’s License is an asset

  • First Aid is an asset

Seasonal Garden Lead

- 1 full time position available

Job Description:

As a Garden Lead, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of Harvest Labourers when the Garden Manager/Owner is not present.

  • Plan and estimate the materials and labour requirements

  • Establish daily work tasks and procedures and coordinate activities with other work units

  • Train workers in job duties

  • Plant, thin, weed and harvest crops

  • Pick row and orchard crops

  • Sort, weigh and pack fruit and vegetables at the farm

  • Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce and products for transport

  • Clean up racks, trays, and harvest bins and general clean up of growing, producing and packing areas

  • Assist in preparing garden beds for planting

  • Irrigation maintenance as needed

  • May assist with Pest control

  • Assist with general farm maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools

  • Communicate with Market to ensure they have product needed

  • Communicate using Radios to ensure cohesion and safety

You will be supervising seasonal harvest laborers and working with long term farm workers under the supervision of the Garden Manager or the owner directly.

Your working hours will vary through the season but will usually be early morning to mid afternoon shifts, 6-8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. Weekend work may be required. Due to the hours needed from May-October this position is typically not suited for people in fulltime school outside of the summer months.

On-the-job training will be provided and includes but is not limited to health and safety, leadership training, and specific picking methods.

As a seasonal position this will be from May - October 31, 2026 with the expectation that the selected applicants will be available for the entire term. These start and end dates are subject to weather variations.

The wage for the position is $19.00 - $23 per hour depending on previous work experience.

Seasonal Market Staff

- 3 full time & 4 part time positions

Job Description:

  • As a Market Staff, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Cashier Duties

  • Stocking (Produce, shelves, ice cream)

  • Serving Ice Cream and Coffee

  • Ensure clean workspace

  • Perform daily cleaning duties

  • Be informed on what products are on hand each day

  • Opening and Closing Duties

  • You-Pick duties

You will be working under the supervision of Market Shift Leads and/or Market Supervisors. Managers will oversee the overall supervision of staff.

Part Time working hours will be 4-8 hour shifts, 3-6 days a week including weekends and evenings. Part Time is considered under 30 hours per week. Shifts are available 7 days a week.

Full Time working hours will be 6-8 hour shifts, 4-6 days a week including weekends and evenings. Full Time is considered over 30 hours per week. Shifts are available 7 days a week.

On-the-job training will be provided and includes but is not limited to health and safety, proper lifting techniques, and specific market training.
