Afternoon Market Supervisor - 1 Position

Job Description:

As a Afternoon Market Supervisor, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and supervise staff during the afternoon hours, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the management team to ensure stock levels are maintained

  • Ensure that the store is clean and well-maintained at all times, including stocking, organizing, and cleaning of shelves, displays, and storage areas

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns, handling complaints, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Maintain knowledge of products and services offered by the market

You will be working with other Market Shift Leads and Market Staff under the supervision of the Market Manager or the owner directly.

Your working hours will be 8 hour afternoon shifts, 2-5 days a week including weekends. For the right candidate the hours can be flexible as we are open 7 days a week with shifts starting at 7am and going until 9pm. On-the-job training will be provided and includes but is not limited to health and safety, proper lifting techniques, and specific market leadership training.

As a seasonal position this will be from April 25 - approx. October 31, 2024 with the expectation that the selected applicants will be available for the entire term.

Please note there is no onsite housing available for these positions.

The wage for the position is $18.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on previous experience.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Forklift an asset

  • Driver’s Licence an asset

  • Efficient, hard worker

  • Required to safely lift items as heavy as 50 lbs frequently

  • Complete repetitive work tasks

  • Able to work the entire season (April 25 - October 31) and available during the hours required

  • First Aid is an asset

  • Food Safe is an asset

Ice Cream Supervisor - 1 Positions

Job Description:

As a Ice Cream Supervisor, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and supervise staff in the ice cream parlour and coffee bar, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently

  • Train all staff in the ice cream parlour and coffee bar to the set standards of each product we serve to maintain consistency

  • Ensure that the ice cream parlour and coffee bar is clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with all necessary supplies

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the management team to ensure stock levels are maintained

You will be working with other Market supervisors and Market Staff under the supervision of the Market Manager or the owner directly.

Your working hours will usually be 10am to 6pm shifts, 2-5 days a week including weekends. For the right candidate the hours can be flexible as we are open 7 days a week with shifts starting at 7am and going until 9pm. On-the-job training will be provided and includes but is not limited to health and safety, proper lifting techniques, and specific ice cream/coffee standards.

As a seasonal position this will be from April 25 - approx. October 31, 2024 with the expectation that the selected applicants will be available for the entire term.
